I’m getting better with Gimp, but still not great. Unfortunately, I’m probably better at Gimp than I am with needle and thread that will be required to make this a reality

I don’t know the background here, but as someone who wants to put a racing bucket in his economy car AND as someone who doesn’t have money to afford said buckets , I like this concept of a matching, singular racing chair among the stock versions.

I prefer a bucket comfort wise, but my project car is also my daily driver, and I need to be able to let the kids access the rear seats. So two solid buckets would be a fail.

I was stricken with the ideas presented creating a M onkee P uzzle to reach the back seat.

Those seats look really familiar, Acura?

indeed. from a GS-R Integra, and will bolt in (with some gaps around the rear seats) to my Civic.

Honda’s are like the Lego of cars, you can swap stuff around as much as you want and it’s fairly easy.

You could source one of those (in)famous JDM ITR/CTR Recaro buckets that come with rails & harnesses to mount in a Honda.

no thanks. the side bolsters are always worn out, and the price has a rarity tax that’s not worth it.

Thats why you got a hatch, let them get in by the trunk

When we are all together, our 9 year old has to get in the pathfinder by the lift gate. Cause in the middle we have a 3 year old, 5 month old, and a 4.5 year old all in thier child seats. So we keep one seat down in the 3rd row to let the oldest in. Luckily car wise the oldest is only here every other week.
